The Painting & Decorating Association now provides members with free COSHH assessment templates covering common painting materials and chemicals. The move addresses the administrative burden many smaller firms face meeting Health and Safety Executive requirements for hazardous substance handling. COSHH regulations mandate written risk assessments for exposure to paints, solvents, dust and other materials routinely used in decorating work. The templates are designed to be customised for individual job sites and product specifications. Members can download the forms through the PDA's online portal.
